Danica Patrick 2012 Press Pass Total Memorabilia

Yesterday's Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway got delayed until today because of weather, and then the race today got cut short because of more weather. I don't have much to say about it other than that. Rookie driver Chris Buescher got the win after staying out long enough to take the lead after other cars made pit stops. Danica Patrick finished in 22nd place after starting in 26th, which is a better finish than her career average of 29.75 at the track but worse than her career start average of 23.9. I guess if I were going to do one or the other better than my average, I'd rather it be on the finishing end of things.

Today's card is a 2012 Press Pass Total Memorabilia Black & White parallel of Danica Patrick. I picked it up on eBay at some point in the last few months. It is serially-numbered # 84 / 99. We're only two days away from the official release of Panini's first NASCAR product, Prizm. I am looking forward to it and I will probably try to pick some up to see how well Panini does NASCAR.

  1. I'm going to say Panini will be a bit subdued with the front, and the back will be it's usual boring disaster. You'd like to hope a bigger company will do more, but....I don't know. I'm kind of soured on Panini.

    1. Yeah, I can't say I have a lot of hope for the product as far as looks go. I mean, it's not like we don't know what Prizm looks like. At least there will be new NASCAR cards to chase. I'm kind of sick of looking at the same old stuff in my eBay feed every day.

  2. Yea - definitely excited about the prospect of new NASCAR cards; however, Prizm is a brand that's just never looked appealing to me. Here's hoping that future releases are bit more unique.

    1. At least Panini has the license to put logos on the cards, which makes it instantly much better than the baseball version of Prizm. I can't imagine how bland NASCAR would be with all the logos airbrushed out.

    2. I can even imagine how no logos would work in NASCAR. That's the whole premise of the sponsorship world there. Sadly, I've neglected my NASCAR fantasy league this year.

    3. It really wouldn't work at all without logos. I missed a couple of weeks in my NASCAR fantasy league earlier in the season and that means I am pretty much out of things now.
